Meet April Lee,
Founder of Latched By Lee, LLC. April is a North Carolinian, born and raised in Raleigh, NC and now resides in Charlotte, NC where she is a mother, wife, educator, and fiber artist. April has been latch hooking since she was 15 years old and instantly fell in love with the craft. Wanting to learn a new skill during the pandemic, April found locker hooking and the rest was history. Arts and crafts has always been an important way for April practice mindfulness and emotional regulation. Her passion for the arts and mental wellness led April to launch Latched By Lee in 2021 shortly after the birth of her first child.
Becoming a new mother inspired April with a vision to spread her love and joy to others through her experience of crafting and her connection to people. Since launching, Latched By Lee has been featured in numerous events throughout Charlotte such as Petra's Art Gallery for emerging artists, taught technique classes for We Craft CLT, and participated in her first vending event at Craft Fest CLT 2023. A highlight for Latched by Lee was participating in an art auction for The Center for Community Transitions fundraiser at the Mint Museum where two of her art designs were sold. Through Latched By Lee LLC, April is dedicated to growing the art community and creating welcoming spaces for people to express themselves freely.
